PGA’s Gifted / Talented programs consists of the following:

  1. Identification
  2. Accommodations / Acceleration
  3. Special Programs

Identification:

Students are identified as “gifted” through assessments including CogAT, CSAP, and MAP.  Typically, students are tested in the 3rd and 4th grade.  However, alternative assessments can be done in later grades as well.

Accommodations / Acceleration:

Once students are identified, an Advanced Learning Plan (ALP) for Literacy and/or Math is created by the GT Site Coordinator.  Students may receive specific accommodations or register for an accelerated course track.
