About Me
Office Hours:

Please check your class syllabus or announcements for details on Office Hours.

Educational Background:

M.S. in Curriculum & Instruction // Western Governors University
B.A. in English Education // Colorado State University,

Why I enjoy teaching:

It's FUN and it is definitely my passion. Being a teacher is just one aspect of an educational community. Parents, students, and school staff members all collaborate to best prepare students for their lives in the moment and in the future. Working with young people is exciting, engaging, and more often than not, humorous. Teaching shapes my community, and the future.

Favorite Books:

"A Game of Thrones" by George R.R. Martin, "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski, "Bossypants" by Tina Fey, "Macbeth" by Shakespeare

Interests & Hobbies:

Gardening, hiking, being outside with my dogs, backyard chickens, camping, photography reading, writing in my spare time, traveling, and live music.

What I love about my school:

I love that we're different! I love that we're small, and I love that I have the opportunity to connect with such unique young people. A district tech person told me he thinks PGA is 15-20 years ahead of the educational curve. This kind of new educational work is really benefiting kids in the moment, and not just after they graduate. It's hard work, but I love that students receive so much support. Every kid has caring adults in their lives.

Favorite Quote:

“Hate, it has caused a lot of problems in the world, but has not solved one yet.” -Maya Angelou
