B.A. in English Education // Colorado State University,
It's FUN and it is definitely my passion. Being a teacher is just one aspect of an educational community. Parents, students, and school staff members all collaborate to best prepare students for their lives in the moment and in the future. Working with young people is exciting, engaging, and more often than not, humorous. Teaching shapes my community, and the future.

Gardening, hiking, being outside with my dogs, backyard chickens, camping, photography reading, writing in my spare time, traveling, and live music.
I love that we're different! I love that we're small, and I love that I have the opportunity to connect with such unique young people. A district tech person told me he thinks PGA is 15-20 years ahead of the educational curve. This kind of new educational work is really benefiting kids in the moment, and not just after they graduate. It's hard work, but I love that students receive so much support. Every kid has caring adults in their lives.

Most of my classes are run on a "gradeless" philosophy. If you haven't seen a copy of my class syllabi, and want to know more about how your student's learning is being assessed, please contact me via e-mail.
