B.A. in English Education // Colorado State University,
Being a teacher is just one aspect of an educational community. Parents, students, and school staff members all collaborate to best prepare students for their lives in the moment and in the future. Partnering with young people is exciting, engaging, and more often than not, humorous. Teaching shapes my community, and the future. We're all in this together. It's FUN and it is definitely my passion.

I love talking about books! Let me know what you're reading.
Gardening, BBQ, bike rides, hiking, being outside with my dogs, camping, photography, reading, writing, traveling, and live music.
Hearing from our young people that they feel accepted, like they belong, and like their teachers care about them is why I love PGA. I love that we're small, and I love that I have the opportunity to connect with such unique young people. Hybrid education benefits kids in the moment, and and after they graduate.

All of my classes are run on a "gradeless" philosophy, as do all language arts courses in 9-12 grade at PGA. If you haven't seen a copy of your student's syllabus, and want to know more about how your student's learning is being assessed, please contact me via e-mail.
