Partnering to Support and Empower Each Learner

Cheryl Olson

Principal

As a PSD graduate with four children who also graduated from PSD schools (two of them from PGA), I've been a part of PSD for a long time. After teaching preschool and kindergarten for several years, I came to PGA in 2010 as the original elementary teacher. I had twelve k-5 students in my class, which was a little like a high tech one room schoolhouse. I have a love for the unique, so I loved PGA and haven't left! I've been in many roles at PGA: classroom teacher, music and art teacher, interventionist, academic support coordinator, and assistant principal. Now I have had the privilege of being principal here for the last seven years. I'm passionate about what we are dong for students at PGA and appreciate the flexibility that we have to innovate and partner with families to meet student needs. When I'm not working, I love traveling, watching local sports teams, and live music.
