I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I did know that I loved school because I loved learning. So I became a teacher! No one is born bad at math and I love helping all students find their inner mathematician inside. Math can be fun and isn't just about memorizing meaningless steps. It's about seeing patterns and using mathematical reasoning!
I was born and raised in Louisville, KY and went to college at Indiana University in Bloomington. I have taught in Chicago, Louisville, KY, as well as Fort Collins. Before coming to PGA, I spent 7 years at Front Range Community College. I am married, have one young daughter, and 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats named Kerfluffle, Simone, and Cookies n'Cream. We have called Fort Collins home since 2010. I enjoy hanging out with my family - we like to hike, swim, walk to the river, and travel.
One of my favorite quotes:
"The best way to truly learn something is to teach it to others."
