Get to Know PGA

PSD Global Academy (PGA) is a public school in Poudre School District that serves students in grades K-12. Our smaller school size and unique hybrid and virtual learning models allow us to personalize learning to better meet the needs of each student. We are PSD's only National Proof Points school, recognized as an international leader in personalized and blended learning. PGA is a 2016 recipient of the Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award, as well as a 2016 and 2018 recipient of the John Irwin Schools of Excellence Award.

We are Pioneers! PSD Global Academy opened in 2009 as an online school. After a couple years, we shifted to our current hybrid model that includes both on-campus and online learning. In the 2023-2024 school year, we returned to our roots by offering a fully Virtual pathway for students alongside our Hybrid pathway.

PGA’s hybrid and virtual models are not only flexible to meet student needs; the learning models prepare students to take ownership of their learning, so they are prepared for their next adventure, whether it be middle school, high school, or beyond.

Students at all academic levels benefit from our blended & personalized learning and the relationships that develop in our small, positive, student-centered community. Most students demonstrate more than a year’s academic growth on both the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS). This includes our students who are below, at, or above grade level AND our identified Gifted and Talented Students (approximately 13% of 3rd through 12th grade enrollment).

Partnership is at the core of PGA. Our hybrid and virtual models rely upon the support of a Learning Coach (generally a parent or guardian) to support their student(s) with accessing learning resources, completing lessons both online and offline, and monitoring progress in core academic subjects. Students enjoy flexibility to work and learn in an indivuialized model, with the support of a caring adult who knows their strengths and needs.

Our students take ownership of their learning and become self-aware of their own strengths, learning preferences, and necessary conditions for their success. The skills and habits of mind cultivated on the part of students at PGA prepare each individual for their future in a rapidly changing and evolving 21st century world.
