Valerie Cox

K-12 Interventionist
Elementary MTSS Coordinator

My name is Valerie Cox and I am the K-5 Reading Interventionist. I have worked at PGA since 2015. I enjoy working with students of all ages in reading instruction. I have taken many courses on the Science of Reading and how to implement these findings into my instruction. My favorite part about this job is witnessing the growth of my students and seeing them overcome their reading deficiencies and gain confidence. Not to mention the community at PGA is one in a million.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family. Cevin (my husband) and I have 3 children. Dylan (28), Tayler(25), and Sophia (15). We spend most of our free time attending cheer competitions. The best part about this is we get to travel to new places and watch Sophia shine in her sport.

I love to read, camp, ride bikes, hike, and travel.

I look foward to another school year at PGA.
